Club Equipment
The club is selling off a lot of its old equipment:

  • Dry Suits
  • Cylinders
  • Buoyancy Compensators
  • Demand Valves
  • Weight Belts
  • Fins and Masks

    Basic Equipment
    The following basic equipment is required by all divers for open water, as a minimum you will require;

  • Mask
  • Snorkel
  • Fins
  • Hood
  • Gloves
  • Warm underclothing or ‘woolly bear’
  • An underwater compass
  • A Dive Timer/ Dive Watch
  • A depth gauge
  • Contents Gauge (Measuring Air Pressure of Cylinder)
  • Diving Computer (some may incorporate the above 4 items)
  • Buoyancy Compensator/ Stabiliser Jacket
  • 1st and 2nd Stage Regulators + Octopus

    Buying Your Own Equipment
    Club equipment is available to loan if you are a long term member or if you have qualified in warmer climes and want to buy your equipment gradually. The following is an indication of typical equipment new purchase cost.

    Prices vary considerably and there is a second hand trade in good used equipment for about 50% of the new cost.
