Joining PecSAC

The club was originally affiliated to the Shell Expro Pecten Social Club which is located at Woodbank House, North Deeside Road, Aberdeen. However we now operate as a completely independent club and BSAC Branch.

Although we are a BSAC branch we encourage divers from all training agencies and of all abilities to join us. We currently have BSAC and PADI trained members.

You may join us as follows:

  • as a diver already qualified under BSAC
  • as a diver qualified under another dive agency such as PADI, SSAC, NAUI, CMAS, etc.

    Membership Costs

    All Members
    As of 2008 we now have one flat fee for membership of our clubs and that is only currently £10 per annum. BSAC costs also apply as detailed below.

    You must be a BSAC member for insurance cover. You will need sponsorship from an existing PecSAC member.

    BSAC Costs
    Current BSAC costs are as follows:

  • Annual fee £37-£47 depending on Qualification
  • Abated £32 per annum (same household as a member)
    (Reduced rates apply for BSAC-qualified Instructors and Advanced Divers.)
    This cost includes third party insurance and a monthly copy of Dive magazine.

    Medical
    BSAC now operate a self-certification system, however, it is still advisable that you consult your GP prior to taking up any new sport. Please contact the Secretary (Contacts) for more information.
